DAK Americas' Monomers business is the foundation for all of DAK Americas businesses.  The Monomers business is key to the success of DAK Americas as a whole, as it  provides Terephthalic Acid(TPA), the main raw material used for both the Polyester Staple Fiber business and the PET Container Resin business.  In addition to internal captive use, DAK Americas also maintains Merchant Sales to many external customers.  Together with Alpek, its parent company the combined capacities of both companies represent the worlds second largest producer of TPA.
